Minister of Finance Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says negotiations are ongoing for three prominent regional financial institutions to assume control of significant portions of the financially troubled British American Insurance Company Limited.The Governments of the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union (ECCU) in 2009 approved a regional plan, to assist in the structure and funding of a proposed new entity, to take over some of the assets and liabilities of the company which is currently under judicial management. The Prime Minister was speaking on Kairi’s Heng programme recently.
